Czech language exams

Are you a foreign applicant for study in the Czech language at one of the faculties of the University of West Bohemia? To enrol in the study programme for which you have been accepted, you will probably need to prove your knowledge of the Czech language at level B1 or B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

You can take the B1 and B2 level exams at the Institute of Applied Language Studies, usually between May and September.

Always check whether the faculty you want to study at requires proof of the level of knowledge of the Czech language and what specific level you must have. Of course, the B2 level exam is accepted even if the Faculty requires at least B1 level.

The exam is not only intended for applicants for study at UWB, but also for interested persons from among the public. However, the UWB Institute of Applied Language Studies does not guarantee that the certificate of successful completion of the exam will be accepted by other universities and other institutions.
