Preparatory and Intensive Courses in Czech

Would you like to enrol in a tuition-free study programme in the Czech language, or are you just interested in learning Czech? You can choose from the following types of courses, both of which can have a duration of either one or half a year.

Preparatory Courses for University Study in the Czech Language

The courses are aimed for foreigners interested in enrolling in the University of West Bohemia. Nowadays, we offer a preparatory course for study at the technical faculties of our University, and a preparatory course for study at the Faculty of Economics. In addition to an intensive language training in Czech, the course also encompasses subjects, which are specifically related to the chosen field of study.

For a tuition-free study at UWB in Czech, knowledge of at least B1 level is required. Beginners reach this upon successful completion of a one - year course. After passing the final exam, graduates receive a certificate proving the attained level of knowledge of Czech. We can arrange accommodation in UWB dormitories or in a private accommodation facility of the University’s partner company.

Intensive Courses in Czech

The courses are intended for foreigners willing to achieve A2 or B1 level in Czech. The courses can be taken by foreigners interested in enrolling in the UWB study programmes, for which a special preparatory course is not available, however, the courses are open for a broader audience.

The applicants are provided with support during the visa procedure. The participants are helped participants with orientation in a new environment, assisted during the nostrification process and submitting application for study. If necessary, we help the participants to solve other situations related to their studies and stay in the Czech Republic. The price of all courses also includes study materials, final exams and certificates for graduates
